Auriol Bowling Club was founded in 1967, and now has around 80
members, including Life and Social members, across the men's and women's sections.
The club plays between April and September, and has a full list
of fixtures (Fixtures 2020) - both League and friendlies - against other clubs in the area.
In addition to these external matches, there is an internal mixed league ladder and knockout championship competitions. All the competitions are strongly supported and competitive, whilst still
remaining friendly.
The club has a reputation for being relaxed and friendly, and members like to pop in during the week for informal 'roll-up' games or for more competitive practice. These are mixed sessions - open to
both men and women - and take place on Monday mornings & evenings, Tuesday mornings, and Thursday mornings. Other times by arrangement.
The club has a team of qualified coaches to train new members and to assist existing members improve their skills.
The club is keen to welcome new players who are brand new to bowling, and also those who have gained their experience in other clubs. If you would like to find out more about the club, or wish to
apply for membership, please contact the Club Secretary or download, complete and return a Full
Membership application form (see link below).
Membership of the club currently costs under £6 a week for the 24-week outdoor season; Social membership is available for those who do not wish or are unable to play regularly
(see Social Membership link below).
Bowls is a sport which combines physical exercise with a good social atmosphere. It is a wonderful sport for improving your flexibility and fitness whilst at the same time improving your social life
by enjoying a chat with your team mates and other club members. There are also club social events during the year.
Members of the public can hire a rink for their own use by contacting
Epsom & Ewell Borough Council.
During the winter (September to April) many members play indoors at other local sites such as King George Field IBC in Chessington or the Rainbow Centre in Epsom.
